Earlier this year, I was inflicted with this “Peach Iced Tea itch”. Venue of exposure was Mary Grace, Greenbelt 2. It was the kind of craving that made me go mall-hopping (just via google maps though, heehee) and led me to my most logical stop—The Podium Mall. I was on the way to the office (which was just across) so I grinned thinking ‘it’s meant to be.’ And then I remember getting to Podium and being welcomed by a horrifying joke—there was ONLY a Mary Grace stall and they DON’T sell drinks. *heart breaks*
A couple of months ago, I walked into Podium and caught myself in a surprise [see photo]. That moment immediately brought me back to a recent discussion I had with some friends which by the way happened in Mary Grace GB2, too; (what’s with this place, huh? :P). That night we were constantly bemused with a powerful realization: how each of our prayers are bound to be answered, perhaps not at that moment when we were praying for it the hardest, but when the time is right—when we’re sober enough to re-think our intentions and aspirations; for that’s the only time we can re-evaluate the gravity of each wish outside our claustrophobic biases, and really understand that we are meant for a better version of that wish.
Let me end with a quote I recently shared on my Facebook timeline:
”Just because something isn’t happening for you right now doesn’t mean that it will not happen.”
See you in August, Mary Grace Podium. :-)
